#66: Meeting Emotional Needs In Marriage (Part 1)

10 EMOTIONAL NEEDS IN MARRIAGE
Everyone has emotional needs. When these are fulfilled you feel a special love and connection. When your partner meets most of your needs, a strong bond and romance develop. These emotional needs focus more in terms of love and romance. Let’s face it, when we feel romantic love from our partner, we don’t think about divorce.

When our emotional needs are met by a particular person, we draw close to that person. The opposite is also true.

When our partner stops meeting our needs in a way that hurts us, we develop a learned response to pain when we see our partner.

JESUS IS OUR GREATEST NEED MEETER. But let’s remember that God’s method is Man. In a marital relationship, spouses get their needs met primarily from their spouse. THIS TOO IS MINISTRY.

PRAYER: Dear Jesus, you are our need meeter! Thank you Jesus. Help us to meet each others’ needs in marriage and not take our spouse’s need for granted and neglect them. Let us not be selfish in just getting our own needs met. Help us to be sacrificial like you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Philippians 4:19
But my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
